Ho-hum

Mom saw DAREDEVIL the other day, so when Bob got ELEKTRA from Netflix she was excited to see it too. I knew it was supposed to be bad - but I had no idea just how bad. It was about an hour and 45-minutes but I never thought it would end. Actually, that's not true. I thought it was going to end a couple of times but it just kept going. (Kind of like what happened to me when I saw THE NINTH GATE.) I don't think it's as bad as CATWOMAN but it's on par with it.

I did see a cute movie today - THE DISH. It stars Sam Neill and Patrick Warburton (THE TICK!). It's set in 1969 at a Australian satelite dish station, they had largest dish in the Southern Hemisphere, and their part in the Apollo Moon Landing. It's not groundbreaking, or anything, but it's a nice little movie.

Last night I saw the first episode of HEIST. It reminded me a lot of HUSTLE. They're out to make one big heist, as you've probably already guessed, and what they are going through to get to that point. This first episode dealt with the issue of raising capital; naturally they decide to rob a bank. I'll admit that the main reason I watched it was because Dougray Scott was in it. It was a fun hour with a couple of nice twists so we'll probably continue to watch it. For as long as it lasts, that is. One thing I didn't like was the actress who plays the lead detective. She's got this really small mouth that's always, I guess it's always puckered or something. The only thing I can remember seeing her in is the first episode of LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT and she was a skanky ho in that one. Oh, the actress in question is Michele Hicks. If I stop watching, it would be because of her. She just bugs me.

Oh, Jake Weber was in that episode of L&O:CI and he made it worthwhile. Of course, Vincent D'Onofrio was amazing to watch but he didn't have any real scenes with Jake - DARN IT!

Alrighty, I'm off to watch CAPOTE. I don't know if Mom will stay awake or not, but here goes. If she hates it will watch DREAMER or something. I like Netflix.
